    :rolleyes: Again, this waste a small fraction of nuclear waste produced by the plant. The main issues is that we ignored the build up for decades, and don't recycle spent fuel back into usable fuel.
    You have no clue what neutron bombardment is. The cooling system and other infrastructure of a fission reactor aren't contaminated by uranium or plutonium getting out of the core. It is from the neutrons released by the reaction. The neutron source doesn't matter to the contamination created. They can come from from a radioactive atom splitting, or from hydrogen atoms fusing together.

    A fusion power plant will not have the spent fuel of a fission plant, but it will have all the other nuclear waste to deal with. Which is most of it.
