You guys are all fart sniffers arent you.... My friends have a field day with me and the Prius. Any Prius meme you've ever seen has been posted on my fb wall since I bought it. I cant comment on the Prius fb page without catching hell from everybody!! But I wouldnt trade it for anything - I do want a bumper sticker that says something like "If guys who drive big trucks and red sports cars have little weenies, then I guess driving this Prius is why my friends call me Tripod"

I can't imagine anyone else getting worst comments than me after buying the Prius. Since all my friends are the other spectrum of car ownership, Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches. So they didn't go lightly on me. Actually the bickering is now a daily event on my Facebook. Now they are even taking pictures of Prius they see on the road and posting them on my wall along with some put down comment. Last night at our 2A group meeting first thing everyone asked me was "Did you drive the Prius here?"
Ugh me too. Unfortunately, Ive had to unfriend a few "friends" and family on facebook since I bought the Prius. I take and make the jokes too, but after 6 months it gets old and the once poking fun turns into personal attacks. I tell everybody "Its a car, not an identity". My friend just bought a Volt so now hes on the Prius bashing bandwagon. People assume immediately Im a tree hugger, an Al Gore fanboy, an uber liberal, etc... I cannot post on the Prius fb page anymore. I received a complete HATE message from a (now ex) fb friend about my activity on the Prius fb page. Thank god they cant see my posts over here, it might give them a stroke
Almost the exact same experience here. So to change people's perception I've just been posting the opposite on my Facebook. Like a picture of the speedometer showing me speeding over 90 mph, posting youtube videos of my Prius blowing people away in the left lane. Instead of posting picture of me getting 50 mpg... so the intent to slowly condition them to think that a Prius is not slow. Unfortunately we have to unwind what others have done, but it will take awhile....
