EV mode is useless. it only allow you to get little more juice at low speed. like in the parking lot. in ECO or Normal mode, if you pass the "middle line" the engine will be running immediately. in EV mode, you can pass the "middle line" a LITTLE bit and the engine still off. the fastest cruising speed I got on EV power (ECO mode, EV logo on the monitor) is about 38 -40 mph, press the gas and let the car accelerate to about 38 mph and let off the penal and the EV logo will come ON, then press the gas penal close to the "middle line".
