I would like to replace my dash mounted XM antenna with a roof mount to fix reception issues, but the antenna connector is square, not round like I see everywhere. I have attached pictures of these connector's. Can anybody recommend a compatible antenna or adapter? thanks, -john
If you have the same antenna that I have, if you are carefull, you can reuse it by mounting it on the space behind the roof antenna, and not need any extra cable. The receiver is located under the rear passenger seat. So that means there is a bunch of cable running forward to the interior antenna location. Just be carefull pulling it out of the wiring channel.. It can then be reouted to the roof location. Do a seach, this has been discussed before, hell I wrote up a procedure to accompish this very operation!!
