I have a Prius 2004. Everything works fine except that sometimes there are some strange system problems. The radio stops working for a minute or so, the monitor turns black and then starts again and so on. I did a system check with these results (se images). Any one know what to do? I have restarted the system (disconnected the battery) but it’s the same after.
Those are common symptoms of the MFD starting to fail. If so, the blackouts will become more frequent and last longer until dead. The audio goes away because the MFD is part of the audio system, not because there is something wrong with the radio. I've been through this a couple times. Remove your MFD to get the model number from the back. The replacement will need to have the same model number, unless you have yours repaired.
