Thanks for warm welcome!! Hmm.. I do not normally name cars, but even without name I like my car. I generally keep my cars very clean, esp inside even with 2 kids. No food inside. Last guy who bought my 5 year old car surprised there is no single mark/spot on anywhere and all seats, mats and carpets looked like new. Of course I park in the garage at home and office. As per improving mileage, I am not sure of that. My works is 2.2 miles from my home, and 13 stops total in this 2.2 mile ( small downtown). I will update if I see any changes in mileage later.
Hi Chinna, welcome! :welcome: You may not get well into the 50's on MPG, but with your commute, you would be doing much, much worse with almost anything else, except, perhaps, a true EV. And, when you do go for longer trips, the MPGs will be that much better! Thank you for the photos! We do love our eye candy.
That is true only EV can do better... except the bike(which I love). Problem with bike is we have 280 days of rain, and also I live on a hill, so going to office is fine, but coming back is very steep incline.
Chinna..........to clarify my original post to you..........the trips from Baton Rouge to New Orleans are only about 2-3 times a month. "Eleanor" is mostly an around town car like yours. In that environment I seem to get about 48-50 depending on how many are really short trips and how many are cross-town. Those trips allow the engine to warm completely and the mpg's to begin to rise. All in all, we Prius people are kicking butt on gas mileage compared to the rest of the driving community........so just laugh as you pass the gas station again.....watching those SUV people just "load up" on gas............
Finally got all things I needed completed: 1. Mud Flaps, installed, ( Drilling requirement was a surprise for me esp as we are drilling the bumper cover) 2. OEM All-weather floor-mats 3. Exact fit seat covers from eBay- (very good fit, worth more than they charged -Took couple of hours to install) 4. DVD Map updated- with 7.1 no dreaded accept dialog anymore. 5. Bumper Guard installed ( quick 10 min thing- Just a sticky)
I have a 2008 super white & really like it. Originally it wasn't my first pick, but now really liking it & glad I elected to buy white.
I looked at all photos, and congrats for the 3rd prize!! That is cool!!, but I guess I will pass. Thanks
Enterprise graphics are nice . . . . but borg graffics are WAY hot too. I wana get on board the square space ship, even if it's not white ... I'll paint it !!
Duh. Yes. In IMAX. In uniform. With Star Trek fan club. Car was big hit outside the theater afterwards.
My better half was so impressed with Alfalfa, our '09 package 6, that she decided to get rid of her RX350 and get another jellybean. In Superwhite, of course. And with the killer deals for left over '09s, we pulled the trigger. Tomorrow we take delivery of an '09 Superwhite Touring package 6, for several thousand less than we paid for Alfalfa, a mere base model. Life is goooood!
