Is there such a beast? Someone in their post had suggested that CalCoastal had such a device. However I contacted them and they have nothing. So I am clear, I want to use the phone when the car is in motion. This is a real problem if you are on the freeway and must make a call. Your passenger cannot make a call unless it is in the one-touch dial menu. Has anyone out there come up with a solution?? Thanks, Manny
There are a number of posts on this. Just run a search for bluetooth speed defeat and you will find them. I had a local tech shop put the bluetooth defeat switch right next to the empty ligth dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel. They charged $40 for parts and labor.
Dave, Dave, Dave...you haven't been paying attention. Seach the posts by me, naterprius, and brosnan. There are easy do-it-yourself solutions posted, then fancier push the button on the steering wheel solutions that automatically disable the speed sensor when you hit the 'off-hook' then reenable when you hit the 'on-hook' thanks to brosnan's circuit he designed (that's what I've got on my Prius). In the Knowledge Base article I wrote for the Nav speed sensor defeat discussions area is most of the info you'd need if you want just one place to start.
ahhh well thanks for the heads up... since i dont have it, i probably didnt read it. but good to know anyway.
