    I just wish there were a beeper in the backup lights. I bought an after-market, beeping LED light and used it in our 03 Prius.

    My wife & (Prius v owner) son both asked that it be changed. The local dealer did it for no charge at the 5K inspection even though they did not sell me my car.

    The main reason I turned of the continuous backup beep is that I found that it was masking more important alerts, such as cross-traffic and proximity alerts.

    First thing I turned off in my 2005 Prius... and every Prius since. (One beep is enough - I just need a single confirmation. If you have ICS, the cacophony of beeps from the Reverse beep to the ICS sensors is something to be heard).

    That is exactly why I had mine set to one beep in both my 2010 and Prime. I want to know about the beeps that actually tell me something worth while.

    Now if they could only tame the popups.
    When I press the brake I do not need a popup telling me the cruise control has been disabled! I pressed the brake so I already know that! I really want to see the HSI indicating when I am approaching using the friction braking instead of the regenerative braking.
    The car already knows I pressed the brake pedal!

    Is there a way to get the R to blink while backing up on the Prime? I thought that I saw that somewhere, maybe in a video.

    You can turn off the instructional popups for DRCC but not the other DRCC ones.

    Picked up my Prime today. The dealer made sure it was charged. They had a tech come out with the Techstream and changed the backup beeps to one. Love the car. Had a 20 mile trip to dinner with another couple this evening. What a great car. I went to plug in the charger tonight and was surprised to find a small light to help you find where to plug in the charger.
