Since I was called out by name, yes oscillations are part of the temperature record, not something that has been properly modeled to be removed.

Rahmstorf does a justification after the fact on how they may be right, he doesn't show that they are right. Where is the magic? The statistical trick is to remove enso after the fact. This is highly problematic. Evans does something even worse. He pretends natural variation does not occur, so data can be cherry picked. My solution to natural variation is to average out temperatures to a long enough period of time so that oscilations are averaged out. This is not anything satisfying for evans, or those that want to claim that global warming has stopped.

    <AHEM>Sometimes other priorities in life . . .

So last Friday, I drove to Georgia to buy a $2,137 engine to test a propeller. The engine arrives Friday. The Friday before, I drove 1,180 miles in 23 hours 45 minutes to look at the next engine for my airplane. Trying to address every 'cut-and-paste' from Mojo is somewhere above taking out the garbage and well below paying attention to my wife.

What I'm suggesting is we all have busy lives that often entail activities well beyond dealing with those who throw out cut-and-paste nonsense of others. After a while, these 'copy craps' make themselves more objects of bemusement than something worth wasting any time . . . not that I don't appreciate your efforts. Just sometimes my life gets 'busy' and time parasites . . . well there is this "Ignore User" that can give relief.
