I think that's right...also the wheels are locked on and it takes 54-steps by eLearnaid just to get the 12v batt out.
A Prius battery pack unbolts pretty easily, weighs less than 100 pounds, and it's very clean (no grease or oils). I'm not a car thief, but unbolting the battery and driving off with it could be profitable, probably $1,000 a unit. It's a lot easier than pulling an engine or transmission. But the batteries are guaranteed to 160,000 miles and often last longer, so I doubt there will be a big enough market to make it profitable for the thieves.
These cars have the door and ignition locks master keyed, so if you know how to cut the master key, any of these cars can be yours. I know because I have repaired these locks and know how they are keyed.
