Upgrade CD with CD Changer?

    This is probably pretty easy to answer for you guys. Is it possible to upgrade a basic system (just CD) on a 2007, with a CD changer from a 2007? I am concerned that the MFD and OEM Stereo are paired at the factory and upgrading one, means upgrading the other.
