    This was exactly like Luigi’s Big Tire ride in Carsland that closed a couple of years back.

    Reason I heard was because it was too complicated to enjoy:cool:.

    I liked that ride and now they have a dancing ride that is fully automated in its place.

    Can’t wait for Star Wars land to open up (y).

    1955. The year Disneyland opened. I hope that's not smog in the background. :(
    I haven't been there in about 15 yrs. I believe they are doing some renovations to the new section of the park? That will be nice to see.

    They are removing a portion of Frontierland to make Star Wars Land.

    To do that, they took out the fantastic all you could eat buffet:(.

    Maybe Dumbo was your focus;).

    I know my kids like that ride in addition to the Astro orbiters in Tomorrowland. But not sure how long that has been around.

    Looks seasoned though(y).

    dumbo was great, but my fave was 20,000 leagues under the sea, also gone, but not forgotten.:unsure:

    I call it the "new" park, but it's been there for many years, California Adventure? I thought it was being renovated. I need to get out there someday. But there's no more little kids in my extended family... only one BIG kid. :cool:

    Disney is only about 20 miles from my home. :LOL: I will drive by occasionally. The area sure has grown. Hotel & Motel row. But all the big walls and trees block the view from the roads now.

    Another attraction permanently closed in 1966...

    Walt Disney died of lung cancer on December 15. Having imagined and then built the place, he brought a special joy to >50 million visitors by then.

    More continue to come. Others of the 20th century may have brought more joy. But perhaps not all that many others.
