Why I hate rental cars

    I forgot to mention that with my experience I also discovered the "Check Engine" light was on.
    When I called them about that they told me they "thought" it was because it was due for an oil change, and that they would do it when I returned it.

    So I just drove it hoping they were right....

    Yeah...wonder if they ever did do the oil change, or really find out why the light was on.

    What you never want to do is to look at stains in a car such as this one under UV light. Then the investigation will truly become a CSI experience.

    What you always want to do is to take detailed pictures of any rental car, inside and out, (like you did) when you pick it up, and then again right as you return it. That way you are more able to prove that you didn't do anything bad to ruin it while it was on your contract.
