From a safety point of view, give me the wind turbine any day of the week. 1) You can determine the safety conditions from miles away. 2) Shutting down one wind turbine that is suspect is not going to be subject to the economic pressures (of keeping it online) that come with shutting down a nuclear plant. 3) With a conventional plant, you have to "get out" of trouble when it occurs. With a wind turbine you have to "get in" trouble when it occurs.
