I just bought a 2009 Prius with Package 6. There is a button on the dash for AM/Sat. What do I do to get XM radio? Is it built in? Do I need to buy a special antenna? Do I just enter a code after I purchase a subscription? Do I need to purchase a subscription if I don't already have one? The owner's manual simply isn't clear on this. -Brian
Well first off, select the SAT button and se if a display pops up. Tune to channel 1. If you have audio, you have a XM unit installed. If so tune to channel 0 and get the ID number of your radio. then call XM and activate an account. If none of the above works, go to the PriusCaht shop and buy a XM unit and install it. Do a search for XM Install, there are several good threads on that process. I did it myself. Since your in Pasadena, I am west of you on the 210, in LaCrescenta.
