Well, It finally has arrived. I ordered a new Barcellona red #6 on May 22nd and I got it on Monday, July 7th. Today it is getting rustproofed, paint sealant, and mud flaps. I get it back tomorrow morning. I have already ordered the hood deflector from Toyotapartsstore.com and I also ordered a nav shield from NuShield.com. I thought a #6 was the touring package but I guess it isn't because it has the 15 inch wheels on it. It also doesn't say "touring" on the window sticker. I drove it a little yesterday and it is awsome to drive. There are soooo many things to catch your attention!!!! I know it will take me some time to learn everything but it sure is fun... My dealer was surprised to see how much I knew about the car. I told him I learned everything from "priuschat " and "priusonline". He told me I shouldn't rely on the information from the internet. HaHa I think he was surprised that I knew so much.
Congratulations! On both becoming a Prius owner and the shorter than average wait time. The dealer that I purchased mine from says that the wait is averaging about 3 months. Enjoy!
Hmmph. If that dealer was even close to right about getting stuff off the internet, I might as well just take down all my web pages. . _H*
I see you have a touring package. What is the difference between the touring package and the #6 package?
djcabor, You have your car models and trim packages mixed up. The Prius car comes in three models, basic (bare bones model w/ 15-inch wheels), standard (comes with 15-inch wheels), and Touring (comes with 16-inch wheels, tuned suspension and a little longer hatchback lip). Toyota offers six different trim packages for the Prius. They run from Package 1 which is fairly minimal to Package 6 which includes most all options including leather seats and a Nav unit. I recommend you go to Toyota.com to see what each car model and trim package specifically includes to answer your question in better detail.
