'Automatic' EV switch

My principal objection to the automatic EV idea is that under MOST conditions, the Prius operates more efficiently when the engine is available for use, and therefore you need to judge each situation before deciding to use EV. However, as DanMan suggests, it would be nice to have a switch you could press BEFORE starting the car, so you didn't have to catch that 7-second window. Though at least with the Costal switch (the one I have) you can press Power and then pull back on the stalk immediately, and just wait for the beep to tell you you are in EV (the beep that comes after the Ready beep).
